Si(Li) Detector Upgrades
- You already do own a Si(Li) detector system but are no longer satisfied by its performance and resolution?
- You'd like to upgrade your detector system for detection of light elements (down to boron or beryllium)?
For reworks and upgrades we utilize the same high-quality and state-of-the-art components as with our new Si(Li) detector systems.
Upgrade of a 10mm² Si(Li) detector system to <131 eV FWHM @ 5.89keV (Mn Ka)
- New high-quality eumeX Si(Li) detector crystal SphinX
- New ultrathin entrance window (SUTW AP3.3)
- New low-noise 4-terminal JFET
- New low-noise preamplifier
- New electron trap (when upgraded from a Be window)
- New cableset
- New liquid nitrogen dewar
- Regeneration of adsorbens (full vacuum treatment), He-leak-check and performance tests.
The geometry of a few detector systems makes the following upgrade impossible. Please contact us to check whether your system can be upgraded or not. We've already upgraded successfully detector systems from:
